HS2 or video conferencing?

HS2 seems to assume that people will not change their habits . . . many businesses (and it is probably business travellers who will, theoretically use this High Speed HS2 rail) will increasingly use the far cheaper, time and money, alternative to a physical visit - video conferencing; it was not difficult to do a decade ago and is getting simpler by the day. Maybe the government think that a plumber from Scotland will find it useful to use HS2 to go to London to fix a leaking pipe?  Or maybe an electrician from the South East to fix a fuse board in Scotland?  Is this how HS2 is going to benefit the regions?  Time for a reality check - time for the government to admit that it is far from a good idea!  Who needs to get their policies back on track - yes, HS2 is the weakest link! If you have not yet added your name to the anti HS2 petition, now would be a good time! Just click
